The FPGA Design team at Mistral specializes in FPGA / PLD based digital logic designs and IP cores. FPGAs and PLDs are evolving into programmable systems that require knowledge of both hardware and software. Our FPGA team has worked on several leading FPGA technologies these include: Xilinx, Actel, Altera, Quicklogic, Lattice and Cypress

  • Processor Design: Cycle Compatible x86 core proven in a standard PC
  • Video Processing: Colour space conversion (VGA to NTSC/PAL & vice versa), Image decimation, Image overlay/layering & NTSC/PAL/VGA timing generations
  • Controller: Configurable Image controller, DDR2 SDRAM memory controller, VME slave bridge controller, Digital Audio controller – SPDIF & MIDI
  • Data Processing: Custom FPGA for 288 channels: 4D- Nero imaging applications, Radar scan converter – data processing
  • Processor Interfaces: Bus arbitration & mastering, Interrupt controller & DMA controller and LX-Bus (similar to PCI) controller
