The concept definition helps define the product in terms of functionality and features, cost analysis, and match customer needs with expected customer benefits. Concept definition is a key phase in Mistral's product design services; and the team works closely with customers towards evolving this. Once a customer approaches Mistral with a product concept; they are supported in multiple ways, from enhancing the concept, working out the technologies available, identifying various options based on target markets specified by the customer etc.
This activity starts at the proposal stage and is a result of research, expertise, creativity, analysis, astute planning and decision making.
Critical product parameters are defined during this phase. These include

Once the critical parameters are defined, the team performs a feasibility study to see how the concept can work in practice and be transformed into a specific product prototype with performance properties to meet the business and customer needs. The feasibility study helps to critically evaluate the product concept, identify problems and concern areas, and reduce risks.
