Designing a Qt application for a Secondary Emission Monitor: Case Study

Secondary emission monitors (SEM) are flexible, easy-to-use tools used to test the chemical composition of materials. These devices work on the principle of secondary emissions of electromagnetic waves and have the capability to quantify or qualify nearly any element, depending on the instruments configuration. A portable SEM (Secondary Emission Monitor) makes it easy to analyze samples that are large or heavy and cannot be moved from the site.

This Video demonstrates a Graphical User Interface application which has been developed by using the Story Board Suite from Crank Software on the AM437x PoM designed by Mistral Solutions.

Using Story Board, product developers can quickly and easily build Graphical User Interfaces for Medical, Automotive Industrial, Mobile UI applications and more. Once the application has been developed with storyboard suite, the same application can run on the PoM board by using storyboard engine.

Mistral appoints new Chief Executive Officer

Mistral recently announced the appointment of Mujahid Alam as Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Over the years, Mujahid has held various leadership positions at Mistral. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President of Mistral’s Defense Business Unit and has been instrumental in successfully driving innovation and growth.

In his current role, Mujahid will assume overall responsibility of leading all segments of Mistral’s business viz. Product Engineering Services, Defense and Homeland Security.
