Mistral's team has extensive experience in designing products that integrate audio, video, wireless technologies and DSP Algorithms, to provide world-class solutions for innovative next-generation infotainment devices. Mistral has worked in collaboration with several leading companies across the globe in designing award winning infotainment solutions that are presently in use.
In keeping with our endeavor to offer end-to-end services, Mistral’s Android team has built their expertise in low-level android software. This helps us to offer product developers working on building Android based devices a complete gamut of services covering hardware, software and middleware.
Members from Mistral’s engineering team presented papers relating to Android and FPGA at the prestigious Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) India, held at Bangalore in July. Papers written by Mistral’s team have been featured at several key technology forums over the past few months. This just adds credence to our rich resource pool, who are ranked as the best in the industry.
Over the years Mistral has forged successful partnerships with leading technology companies across the globe to deliver world class solutions to our customers. Our recent tie-up with Altera Corporation, a major manufacturer of high-end PLDs will foster our work in the area of FPGA designs, designing, building and deploying customized FPGA based solutions based on Altera.

Infotainment demo on TI’s DM8148 Platform
Mistral's team has extensive experience in designing products that integrate audio, video, wireless technologies and DSP Algorithms to provide world-class solutions for innovative next-generation infotainment devices. Mistral has collaborated with leading companies on various infotainment projects based on different platforms, to provide custom design services to build next generation devices.
DM8148, also known as Jacinto 5, is a dual core processor with ARM Cortex A8 and C674x DSP. This demo showcases multimedia playback and DLNA based streaming on the DM8148 platform. The demo highlights Mistral’s capability of building an end-to-end Infotainment solution comprising of middleware and HMI, running on Linux OS with QT.
"Power spikes isolation to avoid corruption within sensitive ICs” Article by Avinash Babu and Harshith Kasyap
Introduction of spikes in systems during insertion of power supply jacks is observed in a majority of designs. These spikes are mainly caused due to: a very high frequency de-bounce on the power supply jack during insertion and equalization of ground between power adapter and battery-powered system. In most cases, the ICs on the board don't respond to such events. This paper by Mistral’s Avinash Babu and Harshith Kashyap, featured in EDN Asia, highlights the step-by-step method followed to isolate and resolve a power spike issue that is not common and our learning through this process.

Sitara ® AM335x workshop
Mistral participated in the two day Sitara ® AM335x workshop organized by Texas Instruments. The workshop was held on 19th & 20th June at Taj Vivanta, MG Road, Bangalore. Mistral has extensive experience in developing applications based on Sitara ARM Cortex-A8 microprocessors. In addition, Mistral has the expertise to develop custom add-on modules for AM335x based EVMs to enable various interfaces (UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, Profi-Bus, EtherCAT) using the Programmable Real-time Sub-System (PRUSS) available in the AM335x SoCs.
Mistral's Paper Presentations at ESC India on Android and FPGA Members from Mistral’s engineering team presented two papers at the prestigious Embedded Systems Conference 2012, India (ESC) held from 18-20 July 2012 at the NIMHANS Convention Centre in Bangalore. In its sixth year now, ESC India attracts over 500 embedded system engineers and technical experts to attend, share knowledge, network and update their information.
