NOTE:
TI has requested a name change and as part of the same, we are changing 3430OSK as OMAP3_EVM. You may see 3430OSK, 3530EVM and OMAP3_EVM used interachangeably in the document. Eventually, all the references will be changed to OMAP3_EVM. The complete name change will take effect by Q1 2008.

| 1 | Issues with Download Utility on Windows XP systems. | While trying to re-flash the OMAP3_EVM board with U-Boot using the download utility, we have observed that sometimes the download utility does not respond correctly and does not allow the user to proceed with flashing. This is observed on Windows XP systems. | Please follow the steps below as work-around for this issue: a) Right Click on 'My Computer' and select properties b) Select the 'Hardware' tab and click on 'Device Manager' c) Expand 'Ports (COM & LPT)' in the Device Manager d) Right Click on the COM Port (that is being used for Downloading), and Disable it. e) Right Click again and Enable it. Basically, Disable and Enable the COM port and this will resolve the issue. |
This issue is now resolved by providing a completely NEW Windows Download Utility that fixes all the issues observed on the Old Windows download utility |

| 5 | External Philips Transceiver ISP1504 based USB OTG interface does not work at High Speed mode | Wrong ESD suppressor devices are mounted on locations D14 and D15 on the OMAP EVM main board. | 10 | McBSP 2/3,UART3 selection for duaghtercard is not supported.* | The McBSP2, McBSP3, UART3 and TVOUT mux select signals are assigned to GPIO_112, GPIO_113, GPIO_114, GPIO_115 pins respectively. But these are General Purpose Input only pins. Hence the Processor will not be able to control the Mux selection through software. | The UART_SEL, McBSP2_SEL and MCBSP3_SEL signals have to be connected to SPARE 6 signal routed to expansion connector. | 19 | Power management -SYS_OFF_MODE | Voltage cut-off happens only during forced suspend, resume and not during OS idle. PRCM automatically controls SYS_OFF_MODE based on power domain states and this signal is required for OFF mode support. |
