FAQ - Hardware Features
1.
I'm using a socket base board. How can I be assured of proper silicon mounting?
Make sure the board is switched off. Please check for impedance at the locations: CORE_VDD = >50ohms and <300ohms; CVDD_ARM, CVDD_DSP and CVDD_HDVICP = ~kohms (not in mega ohms)
Check for reset_out voltage at TP59. It should be around 3.3V
2.
I'm mounting an application board on the base board and the application board is not working properly. How can I be sure of proper mounting?
Make sure the mechanical screws are used and tightened between the boards for stable rigid mounting as indicated in
Installation of spacers
document.
Another level of testing would be probing I2C lines on the base board and the desired result would be detecting all the I2C devices on the base board and the application board
3.
I own a TI814X EVM and it is not working. Any sanity checks I can perform?
