The VME architecture has been the backbone of Embedded applications and over the years, it has seen a transformation into newer technologies. The VME64x and the VME 320 were technologies translated into standards that saw the incorporation of methodologies to increase the bandwidth of the VME Bus as well as the usage of the VME backplanes in a more efficient way to provide high-speed backplane interconnects.
