The chip support library (CSL) provides a C-language interface for configuring and controlling on-chip peripherals. It consists of discrete modules that are built and archived into a library file. The benefits of the CSL include peripheral ease of use, shortened development time, portability, hardware abstraction, and a level of standardization and compatibility among devices.
Mistral’s Semiconductor Support Group has developed chip support libraries for leading DSPs as part of its System Software Offerings for semiconductor vendors helping them harness and demonstrate the real processing power of their chips to the end customer.
