Designing a user-friendly product, with value added features, will help increase the product acceptance and sales. A good user interface is definitively one of these differentiators. In many instances, a Graphical User Interface (GUI) is the best approach.

Mistral’s team has a successful track record in developing GUI's for various embedded systems. The expertise gained has aided our software team in using open source libraries like GTK, GTK FB, Mesa3D (OpenGL), FLTK and Python for developing a range of GUIs for embedded systems. Our team has also worked using Qt/Embedded and Qtopia. These libraries are used to develop a Graphical User Interface for LCD displays and touch screen interfaces.

We also work on relational database (SQlite and MySQL) based applications in Linux Embedded system environments, Embedded VC and VB, besides developing embedded applications like Inventory, GSM Phone, PIM applications and control panel applications.

Mistral’s team has also built up expertise on the popularly used DirectShow multimedia framework from Microsoft having executed several multimedia projects. One of the key features of Mistral’s Accelerator program for DaVinci is the integration of the VISA APIs into DirectShow® transform filters for seamless integration into Windows® Embedded CE applications. This facilitates developers to implement advanced features such as “Windows Network Projector” and “Network Media Device”.
