Embedded system design for rugged, high-performance defense and aerospace applications is a challenging proposition with several emerging trends promising to change the future course of how these systems are designed. Extreme reliability and ruggedness in design are two core requirements that are imperative for defense applications as electronic systems need to operate under severe shock, vibration and temperature conditions.

Mistral’s hardware team have the experience to design ruggedized solutions that meet the stringent requirements of real-time systems for the most demanding defense, aerospace, industrial, transportation, and communications applications. Our team has a decade long experience in the design of fully rugged subsystems, conforming to the strict standards of CEMILAC, BELLCORE, NEBS, IEEE and ANSI/VITA.

Mistral has developed several rugged embedded systems to survive in harsh environmental conditions with extended temperature, vibration and EMI specifications. Our designs can regularly exceed up to 30 times of the gravity and operating temperature, which can range from -40șC to +75șC.
