FMC-520

The 4-channel 1000 MSPS analog output FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) based on the VITA 57 specification is ideal for a wide range of applications like Software Radio, Electronic Counter Measures (ECM), Radar, Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) and WiMAX 802.16

Overview

The FMC-520 is a 4-channel 1000 MSPS analog output FPGA Mezzanine Card (FMC) based on the VITA 57 specification. The VITA 57 specification allows I/O devices to be directly coupled to a host FPGA. On the FMC-520, the two dual-channel DAC devices connect through the high-bandwidth FMC connector to an FPGA-based host board which maximizes data throughput and minimizes latency.

The FMC-520 provides a low cost, low latency path necessary for agile applications such as RADAR and EW. Conforming to the VITA 57 FMC standard, the FMC-520 simplifies developers’ integration of FPGAs and analog output into embedded system designs.
