Whitepaper on ‘ The Power Architecture® QorIQ™ Platforms: Architectural Benefits for Small Form Factor Embedded Applications’ from Curtiss-Wright
Today’s embedded, aerospace and defense industries rely heavily on modern, embedded technology solutions that cater to the power, size, and performance requirements needed for mission-critical systems. The Power Architecture QorIQ family of System on a Chip (SoC) platforms from Freescale offers designers a range of advanced SOCs, with different levels of performance, power, cost and programmability in a compact package.
Curtiss-Wright is using QorIQ SOCs to meet the size, weight, and power demands of embedded electronics on the 3U Power Architecture VPX3-131 and VPX3-133 SBCs. This white paper will illustrate why Power Architecture continues to be an excellent choice for use in small form factor embedded applications.
A whitepaper on ‘Four Keys to Securing Distributed Control Systems’ from RTI
At the core of critical infrastructure and industrial applications, control systems drive today’s power grid, hospital clinical environments, factories, vehicles, transportation systems and military operations. Because of their vital roles and the value of the information they exchange, these systems must be protected from both espionage and sabotage. Security, however, has become more challenging.
This white paper presents an overview of industrial security requirements and the new security extensions to the Data Distribution Service (DDS) standard. Implemented as plug-ins, the security extensions introduce authentication, confidentiality and access control while still satisfying demanding reliability and performance requirements.
