Dear Customer,

I am pleased to be addressing you for the first time as the CEO of Mistral Solutions. This is a post that I am honored to hold and I look forward to the challenging and exciting opportunities ahead. I hope this newsletter will continue to provide you with some interesting insights on our company and offerings.

Modern day systems need continuous improvement to stay current, and these advanced capabilities are increasingly being enabled using sophisticated algorithms and software architectures. Mistral has recently worked on a series of projects which implemented algorithms like DDC, FFT, Antenna Aperture Calculation, Compensation, Correlation, CFAR, Doppler Processing and more on FPGA. We also bring you a datasheet on Mistral’s 3U VPX QorIQ V7 SBC along with a few of our partner products including the CodePeer 3.0 from our partner Adacore. 3U VPX SBC based on Freescale QorIQ and Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA

The 3U VPX QorIQ-V7 SBC from Mistral is a 3U VITA-46 VPX based Single Board Computer built around the Freescale QorIQ T2080 processor and Xilinx Virtex-7 FPGA. Both these devices make the 3U VPX QorIQ-V7 a high capability hardware with powerful I/O connectivity providing an impressive amount of processing in a very small footprint.

The 3U VPX QorIQ-V7 SBC is ideally suited for computation/DSP intensive application and meets the rugged environmental requirements in the defense and aerospace domain.

Middleware Expertise from Mistral

Middleware in complex, embedded systems in telecom, aerospace and defense industries help to plan, develop, and manage safe, secure, reliable, and compliant mission-critical platforms.

CodePeer 3.0 from Adacore

CodePeer is an Ada source code analyzer that detects run-time and logic errors. It assesses potential bugs before program execution, serving as an automated peer reviewer, helping to find errors efficiently and early in the development life-cycle.

CodePeer 3.0 is a new version of the advanced static analysis tool for automated review and validation of Ada source code. CodePeer 3.0 includes a variety of enhancements that help developers detect potential run-time and logic errors early in the software life cycle, and its deep analysis can directly support formal certification against industry-specific safety standards. Among the new benefits of CodePeer 3.0, tool qualification material for both the avionics and railway domains is available as an option.

Embedded Safety and Security Summit 2015 (ESSS- 2015)

ANSYS – ESTEREL was a part of ESSS 2015 organized by LDRA recently in Bangalore with the theme of inspiring ‘Make in India’ designs, focusing on promoting growth in the embedded industry. ESSS- 2015 was supported by the aerospace industry body – Society of Indian Aerospace Technologies and Industries (SIATI) and the semiconductor industry body – India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA).

There were over 700+ participants from across the country learning various technologies, ideas, issues and initiatives to improve quality, safety, security and certification of embedded systems.
