The DM81xx series of Digital Media Processors from TI are a highly-integrated, programmable platform that leverages DaVinci™ Processor technology to meet the processing needs of applications like HD Video Conferencing, Video Surveillance DVRs, IP Netcam, Digital Signage, Media Players/Adapters, Mobile Medical Imaging, Network Projectors, and Home Audio/Video Equipment to name a few.

Mistral, in collaboration with TI, has developed the TMDXEVM8148, an easy-to-use development platform for users to get started on building their next generation HD Video applications. The EVM was one of the finalists at the UBM ACE Awards 2012. Mistral has also collaborated with leading companies on various projects based on TI's DM81xx platform in providing custom design services to build next generation devices.

VoIP Radio Gateway: Case Study from Mistral Solutions

Communication gateways permit seamless convergence between IP network, IP dispatchers, SIP terminals or SIP phones and the existent radio networks UHF/VHF, GSM, CDMA and other digital radio base stations. IP Radio Gateways are dedicated equipment for Mission Critical Applications including Public Safety, Transportation, Maritime, Defense or Air Traffic Control.

This case study showcases Mistral’s capability in designing a flexible and easy to upgrade VoIP Radio Gateway solution, interoperable with all types of radio communications including conventional radios, TETRA and TETRAPOL terminals. This IP Radio Gateway solution is an exclusive and protected design for Mistral’s European customer, Amper.

Mistral at CES-2013

Mistral was at the International Consumer Electronics Show CES-2013, held between 8-11 Jan, 2013 at Las Vegas, USA. Held every year in January the CES is a place where industry manufacturers, advertisers and tech-minded consumers converge to get a taste of new gadgets and innovations coming to the market each year.

Mistral successfully demonstrated the Android In-Vehicle Infotainment Solution on Freescale’s i.MX6 and OMAP4 platforms at CES-2013. The demonstrator showcased Mistral’s capability on working with integrating Air Tunes Protocol (Apple’s Wireless Audio Streaming Protocol) apart from other standard Multimedia Application features. Mistral's solution was well received by the delegates at the event.
