Automotive radars has been one of the most talked about technologies this past year. Road accident statistics says, nearly 1.3 M people dies and 50 M gets injured from road accidents every year; where arises the significance of technology advancements that can lead to better road safety.

From 1990s, automotive radars started appearing in passenger vehicles as part of ADAS. These technologies have been used in advanced cruise control systems, collision warning systems, blindspot monitoring, lane-change assistance, rear cross-traffic alerts, and back-up parking assistance.

The transition of automotive RADARS from 24GHz to the 77GHz is one key aspect of future ADAS. Mistral has been in the forefront assisting automotive companies develop ADAS and LRR systems in the recent years.
