Greetings from Mistral!

Welcome to another issue of Infowaves!
I hope you, your family and friends are doing well and safe!

First and foremost, I thank you for your continued support and trust on us, which is helping us efficaciously cater to you in the ongoing situation. I also thank the frontline workers who relentlessly lead the fight against the pandemic. I could see an amazing power of positivity and kindness around the world. I take this opportunity to reassure you that Mistral as a company is resilient and highly motivated, mastering several challenges in its journey since 1997.

In this issue of Infowaves, we announce two new releases from Mistral. Mistral’s Neuron Base Board now supports NVIDIA Jetson TX2 NX SoM in addition to Jetson Nano and Xavier NX. The Neuron Board is a feature-rich development platform, that enables all the features of Jetson SoMs, designed to meet the compelling needs of modern AI, Deep Learning and inference on the edge.

Another release is the new version of 60GHz AoPCB Radar with ODS-1E PCB antenna, built around Texas Instruments IWR6843 ES2.0 ultra-high-resolution FMCW RADAR sensor, designed to provide high functionality for industrial applications. The Radar comes with compelling features such as integrated DSP, Hardware Accelerator, self-calibration and Self-test.

Also feature two articles that you may find interesting - a case study on an Edge Processing Camera designed around NVIDIA Jetson Nano and a blog on wearable antennas and antenna technologies.

Mistral’s 60GHz Industrial AoP RADAR is now available with IWR6843AoP ES2.0 ultra-high-resolution FMCW RADAR SOC from Texas Instruments. With a compact form-factor (46.25 X 15.76 mm), the AoP Radar is ideal for small footprint, low power, self-monitored, ultra-accurate RADAR systems in industrial applications. The AoP RADAR comes with advanced features such as FMCW Transceiver, DSP, Hardware Accelerator, ARM R4F Microcontroller, Built-in Calibration and Self-test. The Radar is available with the latest development package, SDK 3.5 along with object detection sample application.
